Visiting the London Aquarium made me to do a new collection of hand painted silk scarfs .
I spend two hours sitting next to the one particular window ) And didn’t feel how long it was. I don’t know if it’s me only , but I found imagine been under the deep water is very hypnotising .
So later that night I made two larch silk thematic pieces ( 4 scarfs each). And now you can find the 8 new silk scarfs in my shop.
Batik is a multi-step process that requires great care, technique and time. Each step takes a day or two depending on the design.
We pride ourselves in creating high quality work and technique with little or no mistakes only acquired through years of experience as Batik artists. But with any hand painted work of art there will always be signs that it was made by an artists hands which adds to it uniqueness and magic.
All scarves can be handwashed. Soak the scarf in lukewarm water with a mild soapy solution (Woolite). Rinse in clear, cool water until all the soap is gone. Roll up in a towel to remove moisture, then dry flat on a towel or on a padded hanger. Iron with a low-medium temp iron while still slightly damp or steam dry.

The Flower market is always such an inspiration . Those carnival of bright colours and unpredictable shapes makes your Muza spread the wings inside my mind. And I have no choice but take a watercolours and give a life to memorable pictures .
For this autumn I am planing to make a new line of silk scarfs with printed flowers for patterns and hend painted as well . So you may prolong Sumer feelings for much longer.
